Terms and Conditions
1. Insurance. - It is essential to be adequately insured. The company accepts no liability for personal injury, illness or accident or for loss of or damage to personal property, including camera equipment, during your holiday. Customers are strongly advised to make their own insurance arrangements.
2. A non-refundable deposit of £50 per person is required at the time of booking. Upon receipt of your deposit we will confirm your place on the tour. The balance is due to be paid no later than 6 weeks before the holiday start date. If the balance is not paid by this date we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled.
3. If you are booking within 28 days of the start date of your holiday, please make full payment at the time of booking.
4. Cancellation by us – We reserve the right to cancel, at our discretion, any holiday that has insufficient bookings (minimum is normally four people). In the unlikely event of your holiday being cancelled by us, you will be offered an alternative holiday at a discounted price. Alternatively, if you decline this new offer, naturally your payment will be refunded in full, including your deposit. Our liability is limited to the amount of any money you have paid us.
Our holidays can take place in all but the most severe weather conditions. In the event of inclement weather, the programme may be subject to alteration. Cancellation of the holiday entirely, will only be considered in very severe weather conditions and at the discretion of the company. In these cases a suitable alternative holiday/refund will be offered as detailed above.
5. Cancellation by you – Should you need to cancel your holiday for whatever reason, we can only accept notice in writing, effective from the date we receive it. The following cancellation charges will normally apply:
- More than 6 weeks before Holiday start date – Deposit only
- 4 – 6 weeks before Holiday start date – 50% of total holiday cost
- Less than 4 weeks before Holiday start date – 100% of total holiday cost
6. Disclaimer – If you feel you have cause for complaint during your holiday, please notify one of your guides as soon as possible so we can do our best to resolve your complaint. If the problem remains unresolved you should make a written complaint within 14 days of completion of your holiday.
7. We are unable to accept bookings from persons under 18 years of age.
8. Behaviour – We want all our guests of Peak District Birding holidays to have a sociable, relaxing and enjoyable holiday experience to remember. We expect all our guests to have consideration for other people, we insist smokers refrain from smoking in the proximity of other guests. If any person in your group behaves in a way we consider may cause offence, damage, danger, upset or distress to others, we are entitled to terminate the holiday of the person concerned, without prior warning, including leaving the accommodation. No refunds will be made in this instance.
